Sacred Beauty at Wild Rose Festival: Our Weekend Experience in the Healers Village

There are some weekends that leave you tired, and then there are weekends that leave you tired in the absolute best possible way.

Our weekend in the Healers Village at Wild Rose Festival was definitely the latter.

Lise and I brought Sacred Beauty Collective to the festival offering our Sacred Insight Facials, and going into the weekend, we truly didn’t know what to expect. We knew we loved what we had created. We knew how special these sessions had become inside our treatment space. But bringing them into the middle of a festival, surrounded by healers, artists, music, movement and hundreds of people experiencing different forms of wellness was something completely new for us.

The response completely exceeded our expectations. We Were Fully Booked All Weekend From the moment the weekend got going, our schedule filled. And then it stayed full. Lise and I were booked back-to-back for Sacred Insight Facials for essentially the entire festival. At times, we were even overbooked, trying to find ways to squeeze people in because so many wanted to experience one. It was exhausting, chaotic, exciting and incredibly validating. What meant the most wasn’t simply seeing a full schedule. It was watching people walk into our space curious about what we were offering and leave having experienced something they hadn’t necessarily expected. Because the Sacred Insight Facial isn’t really just a facial.

What Is a Sacred Insight Facial? The Sacred Insight Facial was created around an idea that has become incredibly important to us at Sacred Beauty Collective:

Beauty and healing don’t have to exist separately. A person can come in wanting to relax, have their skin cared for and feel beautiful, while also being given an opportunity to slow down and reconnect with themselves. Our Sacred Insight Facial combines professional skincare with intuitive and energetic elements, including oracle and tarot cards, an intuitive body energy scan and Reiki woven throughout the facial experience.

The physical treatment gives someone permission to stop. To close their eyes. To receive instead of constantly doing. And within that space, sometimes things come forward that they haven’t given themselves the opportunity to notice. At Wild Rose, we were able to offer a festival version of that experience to person after person throughout the weekend. The Healers Village Felt Like the Perfect Place for Us

There was something really special about being surrounded by so many different practitioners and approaches to healing. The Healers Village brought together people offering their own gifts, modalities and perspectives, and rather than feeling like everyone was there competing for attention, it felt like there was room for all of it. People could explore. They could be curious. They could experience something they had never tried before without needing to know exactly what they believed about it. That environment felt incredibly aligned with what we’ve been trying to create at Sacred Beauty Collective. We aren’t interested in telling someone what their healing is supposed to look like. We’re interested in creating experiences where they can slow down enough to discover that for themselves. The Conversations Were Just as Meaningful as the Treatments One of our favourite parts of the weekend was meeting so many people. Every person who climbed onto our treatment table brought a completely different story with them. Some came because they wanted a facial. Some were immediately drawn to the intuitive side. Some had never experienced Reiki, tarot or energy work before and simply thought, Why not? And some seemed to arrive at exactly the moment they needed a little space to themselves. There were laughs. There were emotional moments. There were surprising card pulls and conversations. There were people who came out of their treatment wanting to tell their friends they needed to try it too. Those moments are difficult to capture in a photo or social media post, but they were the part of the weekend that stayed with us. A Pretty Incredible Moment for Sacred Beauty Collective Seeing both of our schedules completely full was also a bit surreal. Sacred Beauty Collective started with a vision of creating something different: a space where beauty, intuition, nervous-system rest, self-exploration and holistic healing could exist together without needing to fit neatly into one category.

Wild Rose gave us an opportunity to take that vision outside of our own walls. And people understood it. They wanted it. They connected with it. For a small business, there is something incredibly meaningful about seeing an idea you once had in your head become an experience that complete strangers are lining up to try. We came home exhausted, grateful and even more excited about what we’re building.

And if there was one thing Wild Rose made very clear, it’s this: People are craving spaces where they can slow down, receive, reconnect and feel cared for. We’re incredibly grateful that, for a little while that weekend, Lise and I got to create one of those spaces.
